Flowerful

I have finally finished with the exams and now I have more time to do fun things. Although it is quite bad weather outside, I can still enjoy the brightness of Chanel (who is wearing a fresh dress, another try of myself to make something).

This time, I tried to make the Empire Dress (you can find the link to the pattern dress in one of my older posts). This one was quite easy to do (I think I could finish it in just a couple of hours). The result is better than the first dress, so I am kind of proud of it.

Next to that, I also ordered 2 pair of shoes (black and brown Mary Janes ones) and 4 pairs of super cute eye chips (I guess, it will be a first try for customization). Why you ask? Well because I really did not how the blue chips were looking on her, so they really needed to be changed. When I was searchin for cute chips, I just bumped to these four ones and I could not resist buying them ♥

Make Her Look Like Me

Last day I was searching for some tutorials on youtube, when I came across a great, inspiring video.

It looks so easy to see him doing this, but it is actually so hard to do (it takes quite a courage also). I think he did a lovely job ♥

White like in a Fairy Tale

Waiting time is over, because real winter is here!

It was snowing the whole night and it snowed a bit today too. The city got the white , puffy carpet over it, which made it even more breath taking and magical. This is the big reason why I love the winter (even thought it is soooo cold outside, brrr!)

This was a perfect opportunity to show Chanel what snow is all about ( we did not get further than my balcony )

Dress is More than a Clothing Piece, it’s a Statement

Like I already told before, I tried to make my first dress (All Spruced Up).

It was a bit of searching, but with the help of my mom, we actually succeeded in fuguring out the motive. I can say with proud that I made my first dress. It does not look perfectly, but I am glad with the result. I still need to iron it, and make some last adjustments. After that, I will make a picture of her wearing it.

Home Sweet Home

Everybody was pretty excited about 12/12/12. That day was surely remarkable for mee too. The day when she finally arrived home. Never was I that excited to rip off the paper and see the brown box. That childish happiness, that reminds us all that we will never grow up inside.

The first impression was “Wooow, she has a big head!”. All you could see was her huge head and tiny body. Ofcourse I opened the box as soon as possible and started to get her out of the box (probably took me 20 min to actually get everything out, I ♥ scotch). As soon as I got her out of the box, and saw her, I fell immediately in love. Such a beauty! Next step, would be “dress up”. That went quite fast and I could not wait to take a picture of her.

Yes, she is really photogenic ♥.

I named her Chanel, why would you ask: because she reminds me of a cute French girl and because Coco is a big icon for me. Such a beauty deserves a strong name.

Dress Me Up and Sit Down

I enjoy being creative and making things with my hands. By purchasing Blythe, I gave a shot on making my own doll-dress.

First of all, I googled for some patterns (it is pretty hard to make one, when you do not have the doll yet). There are actually great blogs, that have a good explanation on how to make clothes (patterns included).

A check-list for myself to make some cool clothes:

I will add items to the list, when I find some other patterns for cute clothes.

While I was searching for patterns, I found some other cute things that you can make for your Blythe-house:

Cannot wait to try one of this inspiring ideas, maybe I should try to make a house before she arrives home (:
